About eduGAIN

What is eduGAIN

eduGAIN is GÉANT's global service that connects the national identity federations of research and education. Through it, about 6,600 institutions and more than 4,100 services worldwide trust each other.

What it is for

With your institution's account you sign in to research platforms, academic libraries and publishers, collaboration tools and research-network services outside Kosovo, without creating new accounts.

How it works with KREN

1. At the service, choose KREN.
2. Choose your institution and sign in at Microsoft.
3. The service receives only the data it needs.

Privacy

By default services receive only an identifier that differs per service, your institution and your role. Other data is sent only when the service requests it and the policy allows it.
